Children involved in two-car crash die
TOWN OF ELBA - Two children have died from their injuries after a twocar crash on Saturday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeffrey Wojtkiewicz, 41, of Watertown, was driving a Dodge van northbound on Dodge County TK/TT, approaching the stop sign at the intersection with State 16/60, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Otho Wollenzein, 91, of Waukesha, was heading westbound on 16/60, approaching the intersection of TK/TT. The Dodge van failed to stop, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Brady Wojtkiewicz, 3, and Landon Wojtkiewicz, 7, died after being transported to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
A 5-year-old passenger in the Dodge van was transported to Columbus Hospital with serious injuries, and then transferred to UW Hospital, according to the release. The child’s name has not be released.
Jeffrey Wojtkiewicz was not seriously injured. The 36-year-old female passenger in the Dodge van, Gabrielle Wojtkiewicz, was transported to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with serious injuries.
Wollenzein was transported to Columbus Hospital by ambulance and later transferred to UW Hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, Maria Jakab, 70, of Waukesha, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Columbus Hospital by ambulance and later transferred to UW Hospital.
