Children involved in two-car crash die

TOWN OF ELBA - Two children have died from their injuries after a twocar crash on Saturday, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Wojtkiewic­z, 41, of Watertown, was driving a Dodge van northbound on Dodge County TK/TT, approachin­g the stop sign at the intersecti­on with State 16/60, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

Otho Wollenzein, 91, of Waukesha, was heading westbound on 16/60, approachin­g the intersecti­on of TK/TT. The Dodge van failed to stop, causing the two vehicles to collide.

Brady Wojtkiewic­z, 3, and Landon Wojtkiewic­z, 7, died after being transporte­d to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

A 5-year-old passenger in the Dodge van was transporte­d to Columbus Hospital with serious injuries, and then transferre­d to UW Hospital, according to the release. The child’s name has not be released.

Jeffrey Wojtkiewic­z was not seriously injured. The 36-year-old female passenger in the Dodge van, Gabrielle Wojtkiewic­z, was transporte­d to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with serious injuries.

Wollenzein was transporte­d to Columbus Hospital by ambulance and later transferre­d to UW Hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, Maria Jakab, 70, of Waukesha, suffered serious injuries and was transporte­d to Columbus Hospital by ambulance and later transferre­d to UW Hospital.
