Brooks Stevens design firm names Roberts as new president
He had previously worked at company
Milwaukee product design and development firm Brooks Stevens Inc. announced Thursday it has named Mike Roberts as its new president.
Roberts returned to the firm several months ago after leaving in 2008. He had worked at the company for four years in business development and helped BSI grow its client base. His industry experience spans more than 30 years in new product development and design automation.
“Our clients tell us they appreciate the fact that BSI can help them identify needs in the marketplace, align their product with demand and grow their business by captivating consumers and getting their products to market sooner,” Roberts said in a news release.
According to the release, Roberts will lead BSI to become “strong, more nimble and technologically driven.” He will focus on growing the company, new technologies, partnerships and intellectual property development.
CEO George Konstantakis said Roberts will carry on the tradition of Clifford Brooks Stevens, who founded the company in 1934.
“Brooks Stevens’ greatest talent was pushing design boundaries,” Konstantakis said in the release. “That same spirit drives us today and under Mike’s guidance, our firm will be better positioned to deliver innovative and inspirational products that help our clients gain a competitive advantage.”
The company helps its clients reinvent products with design and emerging technology. BSI’s clients include Harley-Davidson Motor Co., John Deere, GE Healthcare, Mercury Marine, Artcic Cat, Rubbermaid and Milwaukee Tool.
