Eagle River: SepTimber Ride. Choose from two scenic bike rides through the Northwoods for this event Sept. 9. A 28-mile route takes riders along the Three Eagle Trail from Tribute Brewing Co. to the Three Lakes Winery and back, while a 50-kilometer road route takes riders on Vilas County roads from Tribute to Conover and back. Kewaunee: Harvest Fest. Celebrate the grape harvest at Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery during this festival from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 9. Events include a grape stomp, wine samples, vineyard tours, live music, food and art vendors. See 44wineries.com.

Manitowoc: Sputnikfes­t. Manitowoc celebrates the time a piece of the Russian satellite Sputnik dropped in the city with this spacey festival Sept. 8-9. There will be a wacky costume contest, the Miss Space Debris Pageant, entertainm­ent, food and more. See manitowoc.org.
