Wisconsin Center event will offer top-notch dining, sipping

The Journal Sentinel Food & Wine Experience Featuring Martha Stewart Culinary Experts will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 and noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Wisconsin Center, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave. The two days of Grand Tastings feature food, wine, beer and spirits, as well as a Critic’s Choice area on Saturday, with restaurants from dining critic Carol Deptolla’s Top 30 lists.

Among those at the Food & Wine Experience will be “Cake Master” Duff Goldman, Martha Stewart culinary expert Sarah Carey and “MasterChef” champion Shaun O’Neale.

Carey, editorial director of food & entertaining at Martha Stewart Living magazine, will share cooking tips and techniques, plus an insider’s view of collaborating with Stewart. Goldman will do cooking demonstrations and participate on a panel with Carey. In addition to sharing his cooking expertise, O’Neale will sign his new cookbook, “My Modern American Table: Recipes for Inspired Home Cooks” (Abrams, 2017).

In addition, three special dinners are tied to the event. The first was Sept. 12. Others are:

■ Oct. 4 at Third Coast Provisions, 724 N. Milwaukee St.

■ Oct. 11 at Mason Street Grill, 425 E. Mason St.

Advance tickets to a single day of the Grand Tasting are $50; to both days, $75; to Saturday’s Critic’s Choice, an extra $30; and to a special Saturday Meet & Greet with Goldman, including his cookbook, an extra $60. Tickets to the Grand Tasting and Critic’s Choice also will be available at the door.

The Food & Wine Experience is billed as the Milwaukee area’s premier food and wine event. It was launched in 2009 by the Journal Sentinel as Wine & Dine Wisconsin and later became Savor Milwaukee.
