PREP FOOTBALL GAMES TO WATCH
Games at 7 p.m. unless noted
THURSDAY
Milwaukee Bay View (5-2, 5-0 City Richardson) vs. Milwaukee Riverside (5-2, 5-0) at South Stadium: For the second straight season, the division championship will come down to this game. Riverside won, 20-0, last year. Racine Lutheran (6-1, 4-1 Metro Classic) at Dominican (4-3, 3-2): In order to automatically qualify for the playoffs for the second straight year, Dominican will need to win this week or next week at Martin Luther, which is 3-2 in the conference.
FRIDAY
Milwaukee King (5-2, 5-0 City Blackbourn) vs. Milwaukee Marshall (5-2, 5-0), 7:30 at Custer Stadium: Can Marshall snap King’s 40-game City Conference winning streak. Waukesha West (7-0, 6-0 Classic 8) at Muskego (5-2, 5-1): The conference title will come down to this matchup and West’s showdown with Catholic Memorial next week. Berlin (6-1, 5-0 East Central) at Kewaskum (7-0, 5-0): Last year these teams were part of a three-way tie for the title. This year’s matchup will likely set up the winner for sole possession of the championship. Brookfield East (6-1, 5-1 Greater Metro) at Germantown (4-3, 4-2): East will try to rebound from last week’s loss to Brookfield Central against a Warhawks squad that is a few momentum-swinging plays away from being undefeated in the league. Lake Country Lutheran (7-0, 4-0 Midwest Classic) at St. Francis (6-1, 4-1): Lutheran, which has won its league games by an average of 51.2 points, can clinch a share of its fourth straight conference title with a victory. Hartford (6-1 overall and North Shore) at Homestead (6-1 overall and North Shore) : With season-ending games against the Highlanders this week and undefeated Whitefish Bay next week, the mettle of Hartford will be tested. Franklin (7-0, 5-0 Southeast) at Racine Horlick (7-0, 5-0): This showdown for the conference title will be a contrast of styles offensively. Horlick, led by senior Joe Garcia, loves the ground game. Franklin, led by senior quarterback Max Alba, has one of the area's best passing attacks. Kenosha Indian Trail (3-4, 3-2 Southeast) at Kenosha Bradford (4-3, 2-3): Bradford, which has three-point losses to Southeast co-leaders Franklin and Racine Horlick, needs to win this week and next week at Racine Case to assure itself of a playoff spot.
