Video and voice interviewing company Montage, based in Delafield, is partnering with global human relations provider Randstad Holding NV.

For Montage, the deal marks a big moment of growth for the company of about 80 employees. Randstad, one of the largest companies of its kind in the world, has more than 36,000 employees, many of whom are recruiters and will directly use Montage’s product line.

Based in the Netherlands, Randstad conducts more than 10 million interviews a year.

“That’s a lot of interviews,” Montage CEO Kurt Heikkinen said in a phone interview Monday. Randstad will use Montage’s full fleet of applications for on-demand and live interviews.

Montage, a private company, didn’t disclose financial information on the Randstad deal.

In September, Montage announced completing an $8 million funding round and its acquisition of another interviewing technology company, GreenJobInterview.

Montage already works with many large companies, including 100 of the Fortune 500 such as Capital One and Wyndham.

Randstad has begun to implement Montage’s platform in the United States and several other countries.

It plans to use Montage at all its 4,752 branches in 39 countries.

Randstad recently announced a “Human Forward” brand promise to keep the

recruiting process personal.

Randstad partnering with Montage is part of the corporation’s global initiative to enhance recruiter performance and the candidate experience

through technology.

Randstad is a competitor of Milwaukee-based global staffing firm ManpowerGroup. Randstad picked Montage as its partner after issuing a request for proposals.

Randstad Chief Digital Officer Rene Steenvoorden said Montage was selected because of “clear category leadership and their candidate-centric

technology is built to support the complexities of hiring.”

Heikkinen said the deal shows how disruption is needed in the recruiting process because of the expectations of the modern candidate.

“Candidates have more power and control than ever before,” he said. “We behave like consumers. We want a two-sided exchange. Candidates are frustrated.”

Montage’s software is designed to be high-tech and high-touch.

“For our business, it brings further validation to us as a market leader,” Heikkinen said.

Montage will announce two new products soon for on-demand text interviewing and an AI-driven chatbot.
