Work to do

-

I ask, does President Donald Trump really believe building a wall costing billions of dollars will prevent killer drugs and terrorists from entering this country?

We know that lethal drugs are presently being smuggled into this country from countries other than Mexico. China is one of them.

Terrorists are now living in this country. Think of 9/11 and the recent terrorist who killed innocent people in New York on Oct. 31. Those terrorists had been living on American soil. Furthermore, there are simple ways for terrorists to continue to enter our country other then through the United States Mexico border.

So does Trump really believe building a wall costing billions of dollars would be the place to put our money? We are a country whose economic structure is based on “supply and demand.” We know if the demand for those drugs can be greatly diminished, the supplier will have no function or purpose.

Many millions of U.S. citizens, I being one of them, believe that dollars by the billion can be more wisely spent on rehabilitation of those who are addicted to drugs and strong functioning programs created to stop the addiction before it begins.

Regarding terrorists, I have no suggestions other than “if you see something suspicious, say something.” Tragic, beyond words.

Build a wall costing billions? Rather, I suggest strong and sustained work to correct the problems within this country That, I believe, would be a prudent, life-saving place to spend that kind of money.
