Area restaurants open for Thanksgiving

No pressure, but where are you having Thanksgiving dinner? It’s just a couple of weeks away, you know.

These Milwaukee-area restaurants still had openings as of this week, but tables at some were sparse. Reservations are strongly recommended; the restaurants where reservations are required are noted.

Milwaukee County

Alioto’s Restaurant — Besides roast turkey dinner with soup or salad, potato and dessert ($18.95), specials include roast duck ($26.95). A menu for children 10 and younger is available. Alioto’s is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 3041 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa. (414) 476-6900.

Capital Grille — From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., a Thanksgiving dinner including turkey with brioche dressing will be served ($39; for children, $15). The steakhouse’s full menu also will be available. 310 W. Wisconsin Ave. (414) 223-0600.

Coach’s Pub ’n’ Grill — Customers can order the turkey dinner ($11.95), with traditional trimmings and dessert, or from the full menu. Dinner is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. 5356 S. 13th St. (414) 281-8175.

Hilton Milwaukee City Center Cafe — A Thanksgiving buffet with turkey and traditional sides and a children’s buffet will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ($34, or $17 for children 3 to 10). The cafe serves a la carte breakfast, 6:30 to 11 a.m. 509 W. Wisconsin Ave. (877) 7045343.

Kil@wat — A plated Thanksgiving brunch will be served from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Then from 3 to 8 p.m., a four-course Thanksgiving dinner will be served ($49, or $69 with wine pairings). 139 E. Kilbourn Ave., in the InterContinental Milwaukee. (414) 291-4793.

Mader’s Restaurant — The brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. has breakfast dishes in addition to turkey and German dishes such as Kassler rippchen ($31.95, or $9.95 for children 10 and younger). Mason Street Grill — Served from 1 to 7 p.m., the three-course dinner ($42.50, or $15 for children 12 and younger) includes turkey or prime rib. The regular menu also will be served. 425 E. Mason St. (414) 298-3131.

Miller Time Pub & Grill — The pub is serving a plated Thanksgiving dinner this year during regular hours, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It includes turkey, sides and carrot cake ($15). 509 W. Wisconsin Ave., in the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. No reservations. (414) 271-2337.

Milwaukee ChopHouse — Thanksgiving dinner, served from 4 to 9 p.m., includes mushroom-stuffed turkey roulade and sweet potato puree. The cost of $45 includes a glass of red or white wine. 633 N. 5th St., in the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. (414) 226-2467.

Old Town Serbian Gourmet Restaurant — Turkey with traditional sides such as gravy and stuffing ($18) will be served, as will the full menu and specials including goose shanks ($30) and cinnamon pumpkin strudel ($6.50). The Packing House — Dinner will be served in the dining room from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (the full menu plus a traditional turkey dinner with apple-sausage stuffing and other sides, $24.99 or $12.99 for children). Takeout turkey dinners will be $20 (cash only) at the drive-through from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. New this year is family-style pickup orders including whole pies from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; order soon. 900 E. Pastiche at the Metro — Dinner, which will be served family-style, will include turkey, pork loin with cranberry chutney and bacon roasted brussels sprouts ($30 for adults, $12 for children 11 and younger). Pfister Hotel — The buffet brunch ($65, or $25 for children 3 to 10) is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pfister ballroom. Traditional Thanksgiving dishes are in-

St. Francis Brewery and Restaurant — A Thanksgiving buffet will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($23.95, or $11.95 for children 5 to 11), with turkey and ham carving stations and items including braised beef and desserts. 3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., St. Francis. (414) 744-4448.

Stella Van Buren — From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Stella Van Buren will serve its dinner menu plus a three-course option for Thanksgiving, with main-dish choices of sweet potato gnocchi, turkey with foccacia stuffing or roast duck breast ($44, or $59 with wine pairing). 550 N. Tre Rivali — A Thanksgiving turkey buffet, from noon to 5 p.m., includes antipasto and desserts such as warm apple crostata ($65, or $20 for children 3 to 12). Fleming’s Steakhouse — For Thanksgiving, Fleming’s is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Thanksgiving menu is three courses for $40 to $50. The regular menu is available, as well. 15665 W. Blue Mound Road, Brookfield. (262) 7829463.

O’Sullivan’s Public House — Seating for the Thanksgiving buffet begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Besides turkey, the buffet will have meats such as roast beef, ham and barbecue ribs ($19.95). 12525 W. North Ave., Brookfield. Reservations at (262) 784-1656.

Weissgerber’s Golden Mast Inn — The turkey dinner is from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., served family-style with sides, salad and dessert. Padway’s Linden Inn — Traditional turkey will be on the Thanksgiving buffet along with tenderloin tips in red wine-mushroom sauce, taffy apple salad and more ($25.95, or $22.95 for 65 and older and $10.95 for children 4 to 12).
