Black Friday beer doings

Here are the local Black Friday-related beer plans this year.

Nov. 22:

3 p.m.: Milwaukee Brewing Co., 613 S. 2nd St., releases its Grand Madame Pineau Barrel-aged Barleywine. Beers are $15.99 per bottle with a four-bottle limit. Samples will be served in line. 5 to 10 p.m.: Black Husky, 909 E. Locust holds a special release for barrel-aged Headbutter, a barleywine. Jake Style, an Imperial Hefeweiss aged in Pinot Noir barrels, will be available on tap only.

Nov. 24:

6 a.m.: Explorium Brew Pub, at Southridge Mall in Greendale, will sell 750-milliliter bottles of bourbon barrel-aged Cherry Chocolate Imperial Stout. A limited supply of the beer will be on tap in the brew pub. Look for coffee and doughnuts at 5 a.m. 8 a.m.: Lakefront Brewery,1872 N. Commerce St., will sell its Russian Imperial Stout Black Friday in 750-milliliter bottles for $15 (limit three). Also available while supplies last is Special Reserve XXX — beer aged in bourbon barrels from 2014 through 2016 for $25. Also look for coffee and breakfast burritos to be sold outside. 9 a.m.: Discount Liquor, 5031 W. Oklahoma Ave., and Discount Liquor, 919 N. Barstow in Waukesha, have Bourbon County Stout and variants on Friday and Saturday. Rich Heller of Goose Island will be at the Milwaukee store on Friday and the Waukesha store on Saturday with doughnuts and coffee for people in line. 10:30 a.m.: Stubby’s Gastrogrub & Beer Bar, 2060 N. Humboldt Ave., will tap Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and Bourbon County Barleywine at 10:30 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. 11 a.m.: Water Street Brewery, 1101 N. Water St., will have its 30th Anniversar­y Mead available on tap only at the Water St. location. The brew pub also will have a Black Friday beer release of Bourbon Barrel-aged Chocolate Coconut Porter. The beer will be available on tap at the Water Street location only. Only 100 16-ounce refillable swing tops available for purchase. The limit is four. 11:30 a.m. Good City, 2108 N. Farwell Ave., will have a special cask of Density Imperial Stout available. Noon to 10 p.m.: Third Space, 1505 W. St. Paul Ave., will release four barrel-aged variants of Liquid Layers Barleywine will be available. The brewery will tap a keg of the 2016 Liquid Layers and a new 2017 version of the same. The barrel-aged variants have been aging for nine months in rye, bourbon, rum and port wine barrels and will be available in flights. Noon: Biloba, 2970 N. Brookfield Road in Brookfield will release its Russian Imperial Stout in 750-milliliter bottles. The brew was aged in Bulleit bourbon barrels for nine months. Bottles are $15. There’s no limit. Noon: Raised Grain, 2244 W Bluemound Road, Waukesha, will sell 750-milliliter bottles of Santa’s Sack Spiced Ale. The taproom will have a keg of the 2015 and 2016 Santa’s Sack on draught and a few bottles also available. Noon to 4 p.m.: Like Minds, 823 E. Hamilton St., will offer 12.7-ounce bottles of Cannegerge, a limited-release spontaneou­sly fermented sour saison finished with Wisconsin cranberrie­s and aged in wine barrels. 2 p.m.: Urban Harvest, 1024 S. 5th St., taps a special release of Imperial Chocolate Whiskey Stout at 2 p.m. 3 p.m. Enlightene­d Brewing, 2018 S. 1st St., will release a limited two-pack of The Human Condition, a French saison with lemon peel and elderflowe­r, and Enlightene­d Table Beer, each in 750-milliliter bottles. Bottles are available by pre-order. See the Enlightene­d Facebook page. On the day of, sets will be available for purchase at $30, first come, first served. Limited amounts of each beer will be available on tap. 4 to 7 p.m. Motor at the Harley-Davidson Museum, 400 W. Canal St., hosts the sixth annual Black Friday Beerfest. A VIP ticket costs $60 and includes early entry, a museum ticket (valid for one visit within one year), H-D can koozie and a food voucher. General admission is $45 and includes a food voucher.

Nov. 25:

8 a.m. Ray’s Wine & Spirits, 8930 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, opens for Super Saturday with Bourbon County Stouts in stock; beer in the Growler Gallery; spirits; and wine deals. 11 a.m. Eagle Park Brewing, 2018 S. 1st St., is going “hair of the dog” by hosting brunch paired with a release of “Booze For Breakfast”, a 10.5% Imperial Breakfast Stout brewed with maple syrup, coffee, and vanilla. It also will release the next version in the Milkshake series “Mocha Milkshake” on draft only.
