Jenny Lindner scored 19 points and the UW-Milwaukee women’s team knocked off Cal StateNorth­ridge, 58-50, in a Preseason WNIT game Saturday in New Orleans.

The Panthers built a big lead early and were able to fend off the Matadors (0-4) with solid play down the stretch. Steph Kostowicz added 17 points for the Panthers (1-2).

CROSS COUNTRY Sarah Disanza’s All-American finish led the Wisconsin women’s team to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA championsh­ips in Louisville, Ky.

The senior captain crossed the line in 20 minutes 11.4 seconds to earn her fourth All-American honor of her career. She finished 39th overall.

HOCKEY Cooper Marody and Tony Calderone tallied in a shootout and No. 17 Michigan beat ninth-ranked Wisconsin at the Kohl Center.

The teams were tied, 4-4, after overtime.
