Marquette HOF: Damon Key, Marquette’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, will be among the individuals inducted into the school’s athletic hall of fame Feb. 17 at the Italian Community Center. Key, a 1990 graduate who went to play basketball at Marquette University, is one of 12 athletes who will be inducted. There will also be five coaches and three teams enshrined.

Going national: Homestead junior Drew Bosley finished seventh Saturday at the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland , completing the 5,000-meter course in 15 minutes 24.5 seconds. Last month he qualified for the national meet by winning the Heartland regional championship in 14:53.6.
Good sports: Racine Horlick boys volleyball is one of five teams selected as a WIAA Sportsmanship Award winner for fall season.
The honor is presented to one school for each of the fall state tournaments, except cross country and girls swimming and diving. The other award winners are Lodi (football), Benton (girls volleyball), Madison West (boys soccer) and Amery (girls tennis).
Committed: New Berlin Eisenhower senior pitcher/outfielder Anna Lang will play softball at Division II Minnesota StateMoorhead, according to Jason Lauren of the National Scouting Report of Wisconsin.

Big win: Donte Jackson, a Milwaukee Hamilton alumus, coached Grambling State to an upset men’s basketball victory over Georgia Tech on Friday in Atlanta. The Tigers won, 64-63, on tip-in by Curtis Haywood in the final seconds.
Jackson is in his first season at Grambling.
