Only true Wisconsinites would describe a breeze of cold winter air “comforting.”

That scent is captured in the “Wisconsin homesick candle” you can buy online. The site says it’s “all the ingredients for a perfect cinnamon Kringle on a snowy afternoon” with scents of peppermint, cranberry, maple, butter and cream.

The soy wax candles are on sale for $29.95 and burn for 60 to 80 hours. The company has “Homesick” products inspired by all 50 states.

The Minnesota candle brings together baked apples, puff pastry, fresh cypress and spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Smell the grain fields of Illinois in its state candle.

Local maker Milwaukee Candle Company has its own hometown collection for Brew City.

The old-fashioned is the quintessential Wisconsin cocktail. The Whiskey Old Fashion candle brings “the warm essence of a Wisconsin supper club” into your home.

Or get Bradford Beach (on a good day) — on a base of sunscreen, amber sands and sheer musk, it has notes of dune grass, daisy petals, clove leaf and gardenia bloom.

When you mention Milwaukee, you think of beer. Malt liquor and hops make up Milwaukee Candle Company’s Brewery Tour scent with a fruity twist. The company also sells State Fair, Lake Park Breeze and Jazzmine in the Park.

Milwaukee Candle Company’s hometown collection starts at $15 for a 6-ounce, soy wax candle hand-poured in Milwaukee.
