SENIOR MEALS
Monday, Jan. 15: Congregate sites closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. At United Community Center: Chicken tostada, Mexican rice, corn, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: Smothered chicken leg/thigh, sweet potatoes, green beans, cornbread, banana cream pie. At UCC: Pork with vegetables (a la jardinera), white rice, beans, lettuce-tomato salad, dinner roll, chilled peaches. Wednesday: Old-fashioned beef stew, garlic mashed potatoes, romaine salad with raspberry dressing, baking powder biscuit, chocolate Rice Krispie bar. At UCC: Zucchini casserole, buttered broccoli-cauliflower, romaine salad with Caesar dressing, fresh fruit, apple pie. Thursday: Pan-fried liver with sautéed onions (entrée B: pub burger on onion roll), double baked potato casserole with bacon bits, broccoli, raspberry sherbet. At UCC: Potato soup, turkey hot dogs on brat bun, hot German potato salad, Wisconsin vegetable blend, diced pears.
Friday: Roast turkey and gravy, stuffing, Prince Charles vegetables, pickled beet salad, juice, banana cake with cream cheese icing. At UCC: Chicken fricassée, brown rice, green beans, orange juice, whole-grain bread, fruit cocktail.
Saturday (UCC): Ground beef tacos on flour tortillas, Mexican rice, Mexican beans, mixed fruit.
Sunday (UCC): Barbecue chicken, oven-browned potatoes, broccoli cuts, mixed salad, wheat bread, diced peaches.
