Bon Jovi coming to BMO Harris Bradley Center

- Piet Levy

Looks like Bon Jovi won’t be playing Summerfest.

Instead, the band will play the smaller-capacity BMO Harris Bradley Center in April.

For its first Milwaukee concert in seven years, Bon Jovi will perform what’s likely to be the final major concert at the soon-to-be-demolished arena.

The show’s scheduled for 7:30 p.m. April 29 — just over two weeks after the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. If there’s a conflict with the NBA playoffs, the concert will take place on April 30, with all tickets honored.

April’s show will mark Bon Jovi’s sixth time at the arena, making the band the second-most-frequent headliner at the 30-year-old arena, after Bruce Springsteen.

Bon Jovi first played the arena during the venue’s first full year of operation in 1989, and it was the site of the band’s most recent Milwaukee concert in 2011.

Tickets, priced between $29.50 and $549.50, will be available beginning at 10 a.m. Jan. 19 at the box office (1001 N. 4th St.), by calling (800) 745-3000 or visiting ticketmaster.com. A limited number of presale tickets will be available online at 10 a.m. Jan. 18 by using the code ALWAYS. There are additional presales for fan club members and American Express cardholders.

A portion of concert proceeds will be donated to local charity Camp Hometown Heroes, which provides support for children of fallen U.S. military.

The show is part of Bon Jovi’s “This House Is Not for Sale” tour, named after its latest album from 2016, which is being rereleased with two new songs.
