The Eagles are coming to the new Bucks arena.
No, not the Super Bowl LII champions. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, and one of rock history’s top-selling acts, with more than 120 million albums sold worldwide.
The Eagles will be at the tentatively named Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center Oct. 18, for the band’s first Milwaukee show since 2013, when it headlined a sold-out Marcus Amphitheater for Summerfest’s closing night.
It also will be the first local Eagles show following the death of co-founder Glenn Frey in 2016. Frey’s son Deacon is playing in his late father’s place alongside longtime members Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit and co-founder Don Henley. Acclaimed country singer-songwriter Vince Gill is also performing in the band on its current “An Evening With the Eagles” tour.

Tuesday’s news came just a day after another major concert announcement for the forthcoming Bucks arena. Justin Timberlake, the Super Bowl LII halftime show headliner Sunday, will play his first Milwaukee show in 15 years on Sept. 21.
One concert at the new arena is already sold out: Elton John, who’s performing there on Feb. 19, 2019 as part of his farewell tour.
Tickets are on sale for new arena shows with Kevin Hart (Sept. 13), Maroon 5 with Julia Michaels (Sept. 16), Jim Gaffigan (Sept. 22) and Foo Fighters (Oct. 17).
