GRAFTON – A 22-year-old Grafton man is accused of smashing framed photos, ripping plastic brochure holders off the wall and kicking a hole in the wall at the Grafton Police Department lobby.

David Dondlinger has been charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court with disorderly conduct and damage to property. A news release issued by the police department suggested Dondlinger might have been “high on drugs.”

Surveillance camera video shows a man who entered the lobby screaming at 12:57 p.m. last Sunday, police said. After kicking a hole in the wall near the front door, he threw down his unopened bottles of Mellow Yellow and Gordon's Vodka and then started pulling pictures off the wall.

He smashed three picture frames, throwing one on the ground and jumping up and down on it several times. He took another framed picture and threw it against the window of the dispatch center.

The video shows the man ramming into the door of a locked conference room, breaking the lock. He also ripped several plastic brochure holders off the wall.

After pacing around the hallways and bathroom, the man appeared ready to leave when an officer arrived at the front door. The officer told him to get down on the ground, and he immediately complied. He was turned over to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department.
