TUESDAY’S GAMES

HOME team in caps.

-

CAVALIERS 112, Raptors 106: LeBron James scored 27 points, the last coming on a sensational layup, and the Cavaliers gave the Raptors another reminder of what could lie ahead in the playoffs with a victory.

76ERS 121, Nets 95: J.J. Redick scored 19 points and Ben Simmons had 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the 76ers to their 11th straight victory. Neither Simmons nor Redick played in the fourth quarter for Philadelphia.

HEAT 101, Hawks 98: Hassan Whiteside’s tip-in with a minute left put Miami up for good, Josh Richardson blocked a potential go-ahead shot in the final seconds and Heat clinched their 20th playoff spot in 30 seasons by rallying to beat the Hawks.

Magic 97, KNICKS 73: Mario Hezonja scored 19 points, Jamel Artis added 16 off the bench, and the Magic beat the Knicks.

Hornets at BULLS (late) : The Bulls have won two straight games for the first time since mid-January. But they remain without guards Kris Dunn (toe) and Zach LaVine (left knee), both of whom have missed nine games.

Wizards at ROCKETS (late) : The Rockets will host the Wizards on Tuesday at Toyota Center seeking to recapture some of their lost rhythm.

Celtics at BUCKS (late) : The Bucks hold the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, four games ahead of the Pistons, who’ve stayed in the hunt with a five-game winning streak. Warriors at THUNDER (late) : While Oklahoma City still has plenty to play for - with four games remaining even the Thunder's presence in the playoffs is a question mark - the Warriors have nothing left to do but prepare for the postseason.

Blazers at MAVERICKS (late) : Portland’s magic number for clinching No. 3 in the West over the Spurs is three. Two wins would lock up the Northwest.

Pacers at NUGGETS (late) : Indiana is solidly in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference with a realistic shot at moving up to the third seed before the season ends in nine days.

Lakers at JAZZ (late) : Utah won 96-81 on Oct. 28 in the most recent game between the two teams this season.

Kings at SUNS (late) : By losing 25 of their last 26 games, the Suns have positioned themselves with the best chance of the No. 1 pick in the June draft.

Spurs at CLIPPERS (late) : On Sunday, the Spurs won for the eighth time in 10 games by recording a 100-83 win over the Houston Rockets.
