Don’t sell your rights
I’m a gun owner and I will make no apologies about that. It is the food harvester. It is the home protector. It is a tool to be used in specialized situations; nothing more, nothing less. I am also a supporter of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and in certain circles that makes me a patriot.
I am however, NOT a supporter of the National Rifle Association. The concept of paying association dues in an effort to prop up my constitutional right to bear arms is a travesty and the epitome of everything that is wrong with the American political system. Individuals who have paid membership dues to the National Rifle Association have traded their liberty and independence for the price of a new sticker and a discount at the local hotels. These people are sellouts. As an equitable comparison, I also believe in the freedom of speech but I’m not going to pay association dues to an organization to speak for me. To do so would suggest that my rights can be bought and MY individual liberty and individual rights are not for sale.
Further, since the National Rifle Association accepts money from foreign donors, including Russia and any other country that is willing to put money into the Wayne LaPierre Institute of Faux Liberty, that essentially makes the NRA an International Rifle Association and not truly American. Don’t sell your Constitutional Rights.
