Arrowhead star Hunt leads all-state golf team

Arrowhead’s Piercen Hunt claimed the top honor from the Golf Coaches Associatio­n of Wisconsin for the second straight year.

The sophomore, who won his second WIAA Division 1 state title earlier this month, was named the associatio­n’s state player of the year. He is one of three individual­s who made first-team all-state for the second straight season.

Marquette junior Jack Blair, who led the Hilltopper­s to the Division 1 state title, and Spring Valley senior Tyler Leach, the Division 3 state champion, also were repeat first-team picks.

There were three other first-team players from the area: Division 1 state runner-up Adam Garski, a senior from Wauwatosa East/West; Badger junior Blake Wisdom; and Arrowhead senior Alex Yost.
