Kim stays hot with another 64

He has five-shot lead in John Deere Classic

Michael Kim took a five-shot lead Saturday at the John Deere Classic in a third round delayed twice for a total of roughly four hours because of bad weather and concerns over lightning in Silvis, Ill.

Kim, who has just one top-10 finish in 84 career PGA Tour starts, shot another 7-under 64 – closing with four straight birdies – for a three-day total of 22-under 191.

Bronson Burgoon (66) is 17 under and Australian Matt Jones (66) is 16 under.

Steve Stricker of Madison fired a 71 and was 16 shots back.

Champions Tour: Scott McCarron and Bart Bryant shot matching 65s to move into a share of the lead with Jeff Maggert at the Constellat­ion Senior Players Championsh­ip in Highland Park, Ill.

McCarron birdied two of the final four holes for a three-round total of 16under 200 in the fourth of five majors on the PGA Tour Champions schedule.

Madison’s Jerry Kelly had a 67 and was nine shots off the pace.

American Century Championsh­ip: Green Bay Packers quarterbac­k Aaron Rodgers was tied for 11th after the second round in Lake Tahoe.

Rodgers had a total of 33 in the celebrity tournament which uses the modified Stableford scoring system.

San Jose Sharks and former Wisconsin hockey star Joe Pavelski is in first with a score of 48.

U.S. Senior Women’s Open: Laura Davies took a five-shot lead after three rounds in Wheaton, Ill.

Davies birdied six holes as she shot a 7-under 66. She is at 11-under 208.

Juli Inkster moved into second with a 5-under 68.

LPGA Tour: Brooke Henderson finished with a 2-under 69 to take a onestroke lead at the Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio.

Angela Stanford and Brittany Lincicome were one stroke behind.
