If you are looking for the perfect perch to see the fall colors of Wisconsin, take a chair lift ride to the top of Rib Mountain State Park at the Granite Peak Ski Area from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 4 to 7. Iola: Taste of Norway & Lost Arts Fair. Watch artisans make soap and candles, weave rugs and pound iron at the 9th Annual Taste Of Norway & Lost Arts Fair Oct. 6. Racine: Chainsaw Carving Festival. The sawdust will fly as sculptures are carved from pine and spruce logs at the River Bend Nature Center Oct. 6 and 7. Franklin: Cider Sunday. It’s apple-squeezin’ time at the Wehr Nature Center from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7, and you’ll need some muscle to make cider using the hand crank apple press.
