A new talent agency, Newance, will leverage the social and business networks of NEWaukee to connect people to career opportunities and attract talent to the region.

NEWaukee announced the business partnership as a response to talent shortages in southeastern Wisconsin in a news release Wednesday.

Newance, led by Amanda Daering, calls its service “Full Lifecycle Recruitment.” The new company, funded by investment from Daering and NEWaukee, will focus on talent services, recruitment, workshops for talent acquisition teams and welcome packages for new Milwaukeeans. Daering has a team of eight employees shared with NEWaukee.

“Attracting great talent requires more than ads or letting people wear jeans to work. It’s about creating meaningful lasting connections, which NEWaukee is the expert in,” Daering said in the news release. “With Newance, we can help companies tackle the talent shortage by both creating those connections and providing the right tools to build a vibrant talent landscape.”

Newance will focus its efforts in mid-career technology, sales and talent recruiting positions, Daering said. Companies will be charged for using Newance’s services; candidates can join its talent network for free.

Daering said Newance will both connect Milwaukeeans with opportunities and recruit outside the region to grow the talent pool. She said retaining Milwaukee’s talent and attracting new workers is “just a matter of telling our story.”
