The field

River Falls: The Wildcats, last year’s runner-up, finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in Division 1. Junior outside hitter Halle Olson and sophomore middle blocker Anna Wolf rank 1-2 in kills with 3.5 and 2.9 per set, respective­ly.

Division 1 semifinals, 7 p.m.

For the second time in three years the Big Eight champion has reached state. The team’s big hitter is junior KJ McNabb, who is averaging 3.3 kills per set. and West Salem and a four-set win over Bloomer.

Division 3

Grantsburg: Seniors Randi Siebenthal and Linda Harmon and juniors Olivia Ohnstad each average about 2.5 kills per set.

Sun Prairie:

Lake Country Lutheran:

The defending state champion got past No. 5 Waterloo and No. 8 Cuba City in sectionals last week. Senior outside hitter Jennifer O’Keefe is averaging about 31⁄2 kills per set.

Living Word Lutheran:

The third-ranked Timberwolv­es tied for the Midwest Classic title with Lake Country Lutheran and University School. Senior middle hitter Keri Walker has been crushing it, averaging 5.8 kills and 2.4 assists per set.
