Black Friday, buying and beer

-

Between Amazon and those crazy, wee-hours Thanksgiving Day shopping explosions, is taking on a different flavor.

Some Milwaukee-area shopping conglomerations still carry the torch: For example, numerous shops at

20111 W. Blue Mound Road, have Black Friday deals

and 95 N. Moorland Road, is hosting its own Black Friday Bash, with deals and giveaways starting at 6 a.m.

(thecornersofbrookfield.com), (shopbrookfieldsquaremall.com).

But nearly a dozen area craft breweries and stores are helping turn the day after Thanksgiving into a beer holiday, with special beer releases and other activities. The brewery that started the tradition in Milwaukee, 1872 N. Commerce St., starts selling at 8 a.m. Friday, with its 2018 Black Friday brew and Vintage, a barrel-aged blend of its Black Friday beers from 2015 through 2017. There are plenty more; see for details.
