Halsey postpones Summerfest show to 2021
Halsey was the first artist to have a platinum-certified album in 2020 with "Manic."
But now, she won't be touring North America until 2021.
The pop star has postponed her summer tour to next year because of the coronavirus pandemic, including her headlining appearance at Summerfest. She'll now perform at the Milwaukee festival's American Family Insurance Amphitheater on July 3, 2021.
Halsey was originally scheduled to play Summerfest on July 3 this year. All tickets purchased for that show will be honored on the new date. Those requesting refunds will have 30 days to do so through Ticketmaster. People who purchased tickets at the Summerfest box office will need to wait until it reopens to receive a refund in person.
Halsey is the second Summerfest amphitheater headliner for 2020 to reschedule for next year. On Monday, Dave Matthews Band announced it will now headline Summerfest on July 1, 2021.
But Summerfest is still on for 2020.
In March festival organizers announced the festival would move, to Sept. 3 to 5, 10 to 12 and 17 to 19.
Sam Hunt has already moved his Summerfest amphitheater show from June 26 to Sept. 4. Six other previously revealed amphitheater headliners for 2020 — including Justin Bieber, Luke Bryan and Guns N' Roses — have not yet announced if they will perform at Summerfest in September.
The coronavirus crisis has brought live music to a standstill, with several massive tours routed through Milwaukee in 2020 pushing off until 2021.
But for now, eight shows scheduled for American Family Insurance Amphitheater after Summerfest are still on, beginning with a Santana and Earth, Wind & Fire show July 12. The amphitheater was slated to reopen following a two-year, $53 million renovation.
