Badgers land commitment from four-star Florida cornerback for class of 2021.

The Wisconsin Badgers landed a commitment from class of 2021 cornerback Ricardo Hallman on Monday.

The 6-0, 183-pound standout from University School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was ranked a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and had offers from Baylor, Michigan, Miami (Florida) and Mississippi, though he had narrowed his top four to Arkansas, Penn State, Iowa State and UW.

He's the 15th player in the 2021 UW class to commit, the first cornerback and the second member of the secondary, joining Muskego safety Hunter Wohler.

Rivals regarded Hallman as the 28th best player in his class at the cornerback position. 247Sports.com gave Hallman three stars and ranked him as the 44th best cornerback nationally.

Wisconsin was seen as the favorite for Hallman, and the program has frequently brought in members of the secondary from south Florida. That includes current Badgers Rachad Wildgoose (junior), Faion Hicks (redshirt junor) and Semar Melvin (redshirt freshman). Redshirt freshman cornerback James Williams, who walked away from football with a third surgery to repair a torn meniscus on the horizon in February, was also recruited from the Fort Lauderdale area.

Wisconsin's stable of returnees for the 2020 season also includes redshirt senior Caesar Williams at corner and safeties Eric Burrell (redshirt senior), Scott Nelson (redshirt senior), Reggie Pearson (redshirt sophomore) and Collin Wilder (redshirt senior)
