Milwaukee is opening back up, slowly. The movies? They’re opening up even slower.

For good reasons.

So far, four movie theaters have opened in the Milwaukee area, all with reduced capacity and other safety measures in place. The rest are waiting for the arrival of big new summer movies — and for audiences to feel more comfortable about sitting in a theater as the coronavirus pandemic persists.

Meanwhile, the handful of new pop-up drive-ins are still in play, tapping nostalgia and social distance.

Here’s what’s playing this week, and where.
