Do you enjoy writing stories, sharing news or keeping informed on current events? Scholastic Kids

Press, kpcnotebook.scholastic.com, hosts an annual competition for students ages 10 to 14 to apply to be a Kid Reporter. Requirements are to write a news story about a national or global trend affecting your community, or the contributions of a local person or organization. You also will submit a personal essay and two story ideas for consideration. Spring 2021 is the next competition, so you have plenty of time to become familiar with the types of stories you’d cover, and practice writing.
