The Wisconsin State Fair might be canceled for 2020, but food on a stick lives on.

The Fair Food Drive-Thru will have food vendors stationed throughout the fairgrounds in West Allis selling corn dogs, cheese curds and other familiar fair foods.

For safety, Food Fair Drive-Thru items are sold to-go and intended to be enjoyed at home.

The drive-thru is part of State Fair Necessities, a program that also will include an online Wisconsin State Fair Official FairWear store and the Wisconsin Products Pavilion Box.

Last month, the fair announced that beloved cream puffs would be available at State Fair Park and other select locations Aug. 6 through 16, the original dates for the 2020 Wisconsin State Fair before it was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Week one of the Fair Food Drive-Thru will include food items from 3B Corn Dogs, the Pork Schopp, Island Noodles, Waffle Chix, The Big Cheese, Sweets and Treats, Gertrude’s Pretzels, Rick’s Pizza, G&G Funnel Cakes, Emma’s Cookie Kitchen and Charlie’s Great Food.

Week two will include the Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Association and O’Neil Cheese Curd Tacos.

So far, week three will feature Mille’s Italian Sausage, Brad & Harry’s Cheese Curds, Saz’s and Lori’s Sugar Shack.

Week four, so far, will include Dr. Vegetable, Catalano Old Fashion Lemonade and Hot Wisconsin Cheese.

Vendors and menu items will change each week. Check wistatefair.com for updates.

Vehicles should enter State Fair Park via Gate 9, located at South 76th Street and West Pierce Street. Gate admission is free.

Food Fair Drive-Thru dates are July 23 through 26; July 30 through Aug. 2; Aug. 6 through Aug. 9; and Aug. 13 through 16. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
