What’s at Milwaukee drive-ins, movie theaters this week

- Chris Foran

Elsewhere, movie theaters are shutting back down, as COVID-19 cases spike and authorities try to rein in the spread of the virus by banning large groups in indoor spaces.

In Milwaukee, the movies are at status quo. Four movie theaters are still open in the Milwaukee area, all with reduced capacity and other safety measures in place. The rest are waiting for the arrival of big new summer movies — and for audiences to feel more comfortable about sitting in a theater as the coronavirus pandemic persists.

There’s also the handful of new popup drive-ins, offering a similar mix of old favorites and recent hits — only under the stars.

Here’s what’s playing this week, and where.
