Tosa will soon be getting a Fiddleheads

Coffee shop to open in spring after renovations to be determined

Wauwatosa will soon have a new coffee shop. Fiddleheads Coffee Roasters, which has six locations across southeast Wisconsin, announced plans to expand to 8807 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, in spring 2021.

Mahnaz Marcy, head of marketing for Fiddleheads Coffee, said they’ve been looking for possible locations near Ozaukee County.

Marcy said the move from Menomonee Falls into Wauwatosa was the next step. She said Wauwatosa has always been a “high priority” for Fiddleheads.

“Wauwatosa is an incredible area. It brings a great vibe and energy, which we are so looking forward to be part of,” Marcy said.

Marcy said the designs for the Wauwatosa cafe will be similar to other Fiddleheads Cafes, like the Grafton and Menomonee Falls locations.

Renovation plans could include tearing down the existing building, but Marcy said they haven’t decided what they’ll do with the building yet.

Fiddleheads also announced in July that it planned to move into the BMO Tower in downtown Milwaukee. That cafe is scheduled to open around Dec. 1.

Fiddleheads also plans to open a Shorewood site, at 4334 N. Oakland Ave., in November. The 1,900-squarefoot space will be slightly smaller than its other cafes, but Fiddleheads plans to add a garage door that will open to a patio on the north side of the building.

Marcy said there are still no updates to plans to relocate a historic Brookfield train depot, and move it to 19100 North Hills Drive, for a Brookfield location of the cafe.
