“Zombie Bro”: A girl has to convince her parents that her brother is a zombie in this new horror comedy. Available on demand starting Tuesday.

“Two Ways Home”: A woman just released from prison tries to reconnect with her estranged daughter and grandfathe­r while wrestling with bipolar disorder in this drama. Available on demand starting Tuesday.

film.org/sofacinema. New this week: “The 2020 New York Dog Film Festival,” a collection of eight short films celebratin­g dogs and the people who love them; and “The 2020 New York Cat Film Festival,” 11 short feline-focused films.

New films on streaming services

“Soul”: A jazz-loving band teacher finds himself in the afterlife, assigned to help another soul find their passion and, maybe, keep his alive too in this new Pixar movie, which had been headed to theaters before Disney shifted it to streaming only. Despite the shift, “Soul” is already on a lot of critics’ best-of-year lists, and is a lock for Oscar nomination­s. Jamie Foxx, Angela Bassett, Tina Fey and Phylicia Rashad head the voice cast. On Disney+ starting Friday.

“Wonder Woman 1984”: Diana is back, and stuck in the 1980s battling a power-obsessed tycoon and a frustrated scientist turned supervilla­in. Gal Gadot, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Chris Pine star in the superhero sequel, which is also playing in theaters. On HBO Max starting Friday.

“We Can Be Heroes”: Aliens kidnap Earth’s superheroe­s, so their kids join forces to save the world in this family-friendly action comedy written and directed by Robert Rodriguez (“Spy Kids”). Pedro Pascal, Taylor Dooley, Priyanka Chopra, Boyd Holbrook, Christian Slater and Haley Reinhart head the cast. On Netflix starting Friday.
