ST. FRANCIS - Born to eternal life at Zablocki VA Medical Center on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Margo Jean (nee Page). Loving Dad of Jean (Thaddeus) Pelzek, Mary (Mark) Martel, Helen (the late Pat) Culver, Lucy Vugrinovic­h and the late Anne (the late Allen) Luepke. Loving Grandpa to Adam (Aidee), Kevin, Aaron (Laura), Natasha (David), Hanna, Ian, Elizabeth, Jesse and Cameron. Proud Great-Grandpa to Emma, Leah, Aldo, Kaylib, Lily and Aly. Dear Brother of Sr. Kathleen Vugrinovic­h, the late Joseph Vugrinovic­h Jr. and Brother-in-law of Nancy O’Connor. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and lots of friends from his various organizati­ons.

John had a strong belief in servitude leadership, serving his church, his country, and his community. He served in the Air Force and is a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. John was a graduate of UW-Madison earning a degree in Electrical Engineerin­g.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was an usher for many years. He served the community of St. Francis, as an alderman for 20 years, and as a dedicated charter member of the St. Francis Lions Club. He loved the city of St. Francis! Most Friday nights you would find John at the community center volunteeri­ng his time and enjoying the company of his St. Francis family.

Mass and services will be held at a later date.

Private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to John’s favorite charities, St. Ann’s Center Goats and Chicken Fund 2801 E.
