Man with Pelosi’s lectern among several charged

More rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week were arrested and charged Saturday as additional video came out showing the chaos of the deadly mob incited by President Donald Trump.

Among those arrested were the rioters seen carrying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s lectern, a Republican legislator from West Virginia and the man who calls himself a QAnon shaman:

Derrick Evans, 35, of West Virginia, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said. Evans, a recently elected member to the West Virginia House of Delegates, resigned from his post Saturday.

Doug Jensen, 41, of Des Moines, Iowa, was in custody in the Polk County Jail after his arrest by the FBI, Sgt. Ryan Evans of the Polk County Sheriff ’s Office confirmed. Jensen was identified in videos and photograph­s at the Capitol on Wednesday wearing a knit cap and a “QAnon” T-shirt over a sweatshirt.

Adam Johnson, 36, of Parrish, Florida, was charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; one count of theft of government property; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. said. Authoritie­s identified him as the man photograph­ed carrying Pelosi’s lectern. Johnson was being held in Pinellas County jail Saturday, jail records show.

Jacob Anthony Chansley of Arizona was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. said. Authoritie­s identified him as wearing red-white-and-blue face paint with the horns and bearskin. He is a QAnon supporter who has been a fixture at Arizona right-wing political rallies over the past year.

Larry Rendall Brock, Jr., a retired Air Force combat veteran, was fired from his job after he was reportedly identified as one of the Capitol rioters carrying zip tie handcuffs on the Senate floor. Texas-based Hillwood Airways confirmed to USA TODAY on Saturday Brock had been terminated following a report in the New Yorker that identified him.
