Helen Helga Treu

Passed away peacefully entering Eternal Life on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at age 84. Loving mother of Michael (Kristy) Siewert, Thomas (Dee) Siewert, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Siewert and Janet (James) Rosenthal. Proud Oma of Brad, Will, Stephanie, Jake, Nathan, Jonny, Halie, Paige, Jeffrey, Sophia, Jackson, Gracie, Justine and Jaclyn. Great-grandmother of SJ, Spencer, Ruby Jo and Natalie. Dear sister-in-law of Almida. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Preceded in death by her siblings Mariechen (Otto) Arndt, Magdalena (Ernie) Franzen, Fred (Ruby) Treu and Willie Treu. Helga was born in Germany and came to America in the early 50s. She loved hosting parties and travel. She was a lifelong Christian who appreciated the comfort of and blessings from the Lord. She was proud of her four children and their families. Helga will be well remembered for her feistiness and willingness to engage everyone in a wonderful and compassionate manner. She loved Wisconsin but in truth would rather be on the beach in Hawaii drinking from glasses with little umbrellas. Her last family trip was in 2017 to Hawaii with Janet, Justine and Jaclyn which was a highlight of her recent years. Private family services will be held. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park. A special thanks goes to the many caring staff and friends at Brookdale Senior Living and Brighton Hospice who cared for mom as family during a difficult Covid period. We are very appreciative of the care she received throughout the years from Dr. Schneider and Dr. Prince. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Wisconsin Parkinson’s Association.
