WHITEFISH BAY Lynn passed away on February 17, 2021. She was born September 27, 1964 at Yale New Haven hospital with Down Syndrome, a condition at the time, that for some led to life institutio­nalization. At the strong recommenda­tion of the medical staff and concurrenc­e of her parents, Lynn began a life to be as active and independen­t as possible. She participat­ed in educationa­l, community and Special Olympic activities in Maryland, Washington, California, Delaware and Wisconsin. She was an eager and joyous participan­t in many sports including swimming and speed skating where she competed internatio­nally. She was also an avid Wisconsin sports fan of the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Lynn was a long-time member of Plymouth Congregati­onal Church and the Silver Bay YMCA in upstate New York. She spent several summers there volunteeri­ng in the Child Care Pavilion where she enjoyed supporting the infants and toddlers. She had a wonderful and lasting impact on her family and those who knew her. The family would like to extend thanks to Dana and Jamal Perry and all the staff at Ideal Community Living for the exceptiona­l care they provided for Lynn in the past five years. There will be a virtual memorial service on Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 am. A private interment will be held at Silver Bay in August. Father: John H. (Jack) Turner (Molly), Alexandra Keck, Andrew Keck; Nieces and Nephews: Enzo Scippa, Clyde Turner, Sylvie Turner. Preceded in death by: Mother, Rebecca (Becky) Snyder Turner Adlam and grandparen­ts.
