Nordic Waffles coming to Wisconsin grocery stores

The Minnesota-based Nordic Waffles sandwich is expanding into the Wisconsin grocery market later this month. The “all day” breakfast sandwich is made with sausage or bacon provided by the Jones Dairy Farm of Fort Atkinson, as well as Wisconsin cheddar cheese, egg, and a heart-shaped waffle. The waffle uses a Scandinavian style batter of eggs, flour, cardamom, whole milk, vanilla sugar, butter and sour cream, and then is folded to make a handheld sandwich.

The waffles are sold two in a pack for a suggested retail price of $6.49 in the frozen food section of Woodman’s Markets, Festival Foods and Piggly Wiggly locations across the state. For a list of all
