Wisconsin seeing slight uptick in COVID cases

- Drake Bentley

Wisconsin is seeing a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases and the delta variant may be to blame.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services updates its data on variants once a week, on Thursdays, so it's not yet clear that the delta variant is to blame.

But Dr. Ben Weston, medical services director for Milwaukee County's Office of Emergency Management, believes national trends indicate it's the delta variant at work.

"Why are we seeing this rise in cases? The answer seems to be fairly straight forward and that's the delta variant," said Weston.
