Cleveland’s Franmil Reyes homered twice, including a second-inning blast that bounced out of Progressiv­e Field and almost dinged a bicyclist pedaling on a street next to the park.

Blue Jays 4, RED SOX 1 (G1):

Robbie Ray pitched six innings, Randal Grichuk homered and drove in three runs, and the Blue Jays beat the Red Sox in the first game of a doublehead­er.

Tigers 17, TWINS 14:

Jeimer Candelario and Eric Haase each drove in three runs and the Tigers, despite giving up seven homers and not hitting any, outlasted the Twins. The Tigers posted their highest run total of the season.

Athletics 10, PADRES 4:

Sean Manaea took a perfect game into the sixth inning and Matt Chapman hit a threerun homer to carry Oakland pas San Diego. Manaea struck out nine in six innings and allowed just the one hit and one walk.

Astros 11, MARINERS 4:

Yuli Gurriel singled, doubled and homered to drive in three runs and lead Houston over Seattle. It was the 13th time this season Gurriel has had at least three hits. Carlos Correa also had three hits.

Marlins at ORIOLES, late:

Sandy León hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Sandy Alcantara pitched into the seventh, helping the Miami Marlins to a 7-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night.

Brewers at PIRATES, late:

Omar Narvaez homered and had four RBIs, Brett Anderson pitched six strong innings and the Milwaukee Brewers scored eight runs in the first two innings to roll past the Pittsburgh Pirates for a 9-0 victory on Tuesday night.

Braves at METS, late:

Austin Riley hit a grand slam and a two-run homer to set a career high with six RBIs, powering the Atlanta Braves to a 12-5 rout of the New York Mets on Tuesday night.

Yankees at RAYS, late:

Jordan Montgomery stopped an eight-start winless streak, Aaron Judge singled in his return from COVID-19 and the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Reds at CUBS, late:

Joey Votto continued his power surge with two home runs and started a dazzling double play Tuesday night as the Cincinnati Reds pulled away to a 7-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs.

All-Star slugger Joey Gallo hit his first home run since the break as the Rangers ended a 12-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbac­ks on Tuesday night.

White Sox at ROYALS, late:

Eloy Jiménez logged his first big hit of the season, launching a go-ahead, three-run homer in the eighth inning that sent the Chicago White Sox over the Kansas City Royals 5-3 Tuesday night.

Rockies at ANGELS, late:

Shohei Ohtani hit his major league-leading 36th home run, one of the few highlights for the Los Angeles Angels in a 12-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.

Dodgers at GIANTS, late:

Buster Posey scored the tiebreakin­g run on a throwing error in the eighth inning, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Nationals at PHILLIES, ppd:

COVID-19 issues among the Washington Nationals prompted Major League Baseball to postpone their game against the Philadelph­ia Phillies on Wednesday night.
