Inc. lists fastest-growing companies in Wisconsin

Four Wisconsin companies landed in the top 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States in Inc. Magazine's annual listing.

Inc. Magazine's listing of 5,000 fastgrowin­g privately held companies was announced Tuesday.

The ranking is created based on revenue growth over the previous three years. This is the first ranking to take into account the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. in a news release. “Building one of the fastestgro­wing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievemen­t. Building one in the crisis we've lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplish­ment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

The top Wisconsin-based company on the list at No. 112 was sexual assault collection kit maker Gentueri.

The Verona manufactur­ing company

The ranking is based on revenue growth over the previous three years.

grew 3,688% over the last three years, according to the magazine. Gentueri's collection kits are made to simplify the laboratory testing process.

Madison software company TheoremRea­ch landed at No. 116 with 3,535% growth over the last three years. TheoremRea­ch is a survey monetizati­on company for app developers and website owners.

Short-term rental company Frontdesk ranked No. 136 with three-year revenue growth of 3,012%. Milwaukeeb­ased Frontdesk recently completed a $7 million round of financing led by Stormbreak­er Ventures. The company has raised $18 million in all.

At No. 248 was Madison's consumer loyalty and awards app Fetch Rewards.

The company grew 1,832% over the last three years, according to Inc. Fetch Rewards completed another round of financing that pushed its valuation over $1 billion this spring.

In all, 53 Wisconsin-based companies were named to the 5,000-firm list.

In 2020, eight Wisconsin companies landed in the top 500.
