Inc. lists fastest-growing companies in Wisconsin
Four Wisconsin companies landed in the top 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States in Inc. Magazine's annual listing.
Inc. Magazine's listing of 5,000 fastgrowing privately held companies was announced Tuesday.
The ranking is created based on revenue growth over the previous three years. This is the first ranking to take into account the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. in a news release. “Building one of the fastestgrowing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we've lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”
The top Wisconsin-based company on the list at No. 112 was sexual assault collection kit maker Gentueri.
The Verona manufacturing company
The ranking is based on revenue growth over the previous three years.
grew 3,688% over the last three years, according to the magazine. Gentueri's collection kits are made to simplify the laboratory testing process.
Madison software company TheoremReach landed at No. 116 with 3,535% growth over the last three years. TheoremReach is a survey monetization company for app developers and website owners.
Short-term rental company Frontdesk ranked No. 136 with three-year revenue growth of 3,012%. Milwaukeebased Frontdesk recently completed a $7 million round of financing led by Stormbreaker Ventures. The company has raised $18 million in all.
At No. 248 was Madison's consumer loyalty and awards app Fetch Rewards.
The company grew 1,832% over the last three years, according to Inc. Fetch Rewards completed another round of financing that pushed its valuation over $1 billion this spring.
In all, 53 Wisconsin-based companies were named to the 5,000-firm list.
In 2020, eight Wisconsin companies landed in the top 500.
