No. 19 Kenosha Bradford (0-1) at No. 2 Muskego (1-0), Thursday, 7 p.m.

-

Bradford entered the season with high aspirations and plenty of talent. But after a Week 1 loss at the hands of Regis, the Red Devils will look to get on track against the team that coaches have voted as tops in the state, according to the Wissports.net poll. Muskego, meanwhile, enters with a 38-game winning streak but is still looking to find its groove as it works in nearly an entire lineup’s worth of players with little varsity experience coming into the season.

No. 6 Whitefish Bay (1-0) at No. 4 Mukwonago (1-0)

This isn’t a traditional non-conference matchup and both teams are making the most of it by bringing one of the best teams each has had in recent memory. Mukwonago led the “receiving votes” category in the large school category in the Associated Press poll, while Whitefish Bay holds the No. 7 spot. Mukwonago quarterback Greyton Gannon is battling an injury but it was of little detriment to the offense in a Week 1 win over Sussex Hamilton as they compiled 432 yards rushing. Both Wynn Stang and Jake Adams went over 200 yards and scored two times apiece. The Blue Dukes are no strangers to ground dominance, either, after a 56-6 Week 1 win over Shorewood/Messmer in which they scored five rushing touchdowns in the first half.

No. 11 Homestead (1-0) at No. 3 Arrowhead (1-0)

The rivalry is renewed. Fans will recall the three consecutive years these two programs faced off in the Division 1 state final between 2006 and 2008, as well as the many non-conference games they have played in the regular season. Both are riding high coming off Week 1 wins, as well. Homestead took down Germantown, 32-14, while Arrowhead used a big second quarter to down Marquette, 38-22.

Fond du Lac (1-0) at No. 1 Franklin (1-0)

Two of the top programs in the state will face off as Fond du Lac makes the trip to the Milwaukee area. The Sabers are coming off a dramatic come-frombehind win over Appleton North in which they erased a 21-point deficit and won on a last-second Hail Mary. Can the Cardinals slow down the host’s passing attack? Franklin is led by senior quarterback and Wisconsin recruit Myles Burkett and has a bevy of weapons at receiver.

South Milwaukee (1-0) at Wauwatosa East (1-0)

Do you like offense? If so, this may be the game for you. These two teams combined to score 111 points in their Week 1 victories. Will that trend carry over when they face off?

No. 20 Cedarburg (1-0) at No. 17 Grafton (1-0)

No longer a North Shore Conference matchup with Grafton having moved to the Parkland Conference, this game still pits two foes very familiar with one another. Both are coming off Week 1 victories and are adept at running the ball.

No. 15 Waterford (1-0) at No. 13 Oak Creek (1-0)

Neither side had any problems in their first contest of the season and will now get a good litmus test of where they stand. When they last played in 2019, Oak Creek struggled mightily to stop Waterford’s power-rushing attack. This time around, though, the Knights feel they are stronger up front while also having a sophomore quarterback who can sling the ball in Cade Palkowski.
