The Dashers tied for third at the Joust with Brookfield Central, but outperformed their seeding and were the only team other than champion Appleton North to beat runner-up Howards Grove. DSHA also defeated Kettle Moraine and Lake Country Lutheran, two teams that opened the season ranked in the area top 10. Freshman Madison Quest (53 kills, .367 hitting percentage) and senior Julie Wojciak (27, .471) were the team's top hitters. Senior Paige Yelmene (5.4 assists per set) and junior Ellie Conner (4.6) shared setting
duties.
Player of the week
Anna Bjork, Oconomowoc: The sophomore middle hitter led the Raccoons to a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Joust with victories over Cedarburg, West Bend West, Appleton Xavier, Kettle Moraine and Kimberly. She recorded a team-high 52 kills with 10 aces and nine blocks for the tournament and in the fifth-place game had 11 kills with a .429 hitting percentage, three aces and two blocks in a 2-0 win over Kimberly.

Germantown at Brookfield Central, 7 p.m. Tuesday:
Central defeated the Warhawks in straight sets at the Joust. Now we'll see what happens In a best-of-five Greater Metro contest.
Cedarburg at Hartford, 7 p.m. Thursday: The visiting Bulldogs, this year's North Shore Conference favorite, takes on last year's champion.
Nicolet at Slinger, 7 p.m. Thursday: This North Shore opener will be a good test two teams that expect to contend for the conference title this season.
