COVID cases rising among residents 18 and older

The seven-day average of daily COVID-19 cases increased to 9,696 cases Tuesday, the highest recorded total of cases since the beginning of the pandemic, according the state Department of Health Services data.

Tuesday’s record is up nearly 3,200 cases from the previous peak in November 2020.

During the week of Jan. 2, 11,467 Wisconsin residents age 18 or younger tested positive for COVID-19 — more than any other age group.
