State reports record high one-day case count
The state Department of Health Services reported the highest one-day COVID-19 case count ever Thursday, as the omicron variant continues to surge throughout the state.
The total number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 slightly declined from Wednesday's record high, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, which reported 479 patients in intensive care.
Menominee County continues to record the highest number of cases per 100,000 residents in the state. Milwaukee County records the second-highest total.
