Player of the week Reese Osgood, Franklin

The Sabers' share of the Southeast Conference title doesn't happen without the senior guard's hot shooting. He scored a career-high 25 points Thursday in a 59-57 victory at first-place Racine Case. Osgood made eight of 12 shots overall and was 7 for 9 from three-point range. Two days later he posted 15 points in a 76-69 win over at home over Mukwonago and for the week also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Team of the week Milwaukee Bradley Tech

The Trojans captured their first Milwaukee City Conference championsh­ip since 2005 with victories over Marshall on Wednesday and North on Friday. Senior forward Learic Davis led the charge by averaging 24 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 9.5 steals. Senior forward Dayshun James averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds. The team also received double-digit scoring from seniors Nasir Robinson and James Hughes, both of whom had 11 points in each game. Tech (16-6, 11-1) has a seven-game winning streak.

Coming up

The WIAA tournament begins Tuesday with regional play. The intriguing matchups begin with the regional finals on Saturday. If the seeds play out, here are some of the games we'll be keeping an eye on. Check wiaawi.org for start times.

Middleton at Arrowhead: The secondplac­e finisher from the Big Eight Conference visits the runner-up from the Classic 8.

Kettle Moraine at Franklin: Kettle Moraine has been up and down this season but is more than capable giving Franklin a test.

Cedarburg at Nicolet: The host Knights won the first two meetings by three and 12 points.

Milwaukee Bradley Tech at Whitnall: The City Conference champion hits the road to face the first-place finisher from the Woodland East.

Racine St. Catherine’s at Catholic Memorial: St. Catherine's dropped four of its last seven games but more than held up against the best the Metro Classic had to offer. It will be a tough out for Memorial.

Milwaukee Carmen Northwest at St. Thomas More: Carmen Northwest, the City Blue Division champion, can make a statement against winner of the Metro Classic.
