Player of the week Jessica Curtis, Kenosha Tremper

The junior enjoyed her best week of the season in helping the Trojans go 5-1. Curtis went 10 for 18 (.556) with a home run, double and 11 runs scored. Her three-run homer Tuesday against Racine Case was part of a 17-13 comefrom-behind win. A .200 hitter before last week, she raised her batting average to .333 while helping Tremper improve to 11-9.

Team of the week Arrowhead

The Warhawks went 5-0, including four Classic 8 wins, with league victories over Catholic Memorial (twice), Kettle Moraine and Muskego to grab a share of the conference title. Arrowhead hit.417 for the week with four players combining to hit nine home runs. Sophomore Jaclyn Showalter led the barrage with 11 hits, 10 RBI and seven runs scored. Sierra Thomas, a junior, had nine hits with six runs and six RBI. She also was the pitcher of record in two of the victories. The team’s 8-3 final over Muskego on Thursday guaranteed it at least a share of the conference title for the second straight year. Thomas and freshman Jaquelyn Cox drove in two runs in that game, while senior Maddie Wirth struck out four in a complete game performanc­e that helped raise Arrowhead’s record to 17-1.

Burlington vs. Elkhorn, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday: Burlington, which hosts on Thursday, needs only a split with the second-place Elks to win clinch the Southern Lakes title outright.

Kenosha St. Joseph vs. Shoreland Lutheran at UW-Parkside, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday: St. Joseph needs a win over the third-place Pacers to remain in the hunt for a share of the Metro Classic title with Martin Luther.

Sussex Hamilton at Germantown, 4 p.m. Wednesday: Menomonee Falls has wrapped up the Greater Metro title. This matchup will play a key role in determinin­g the league’s secondplac­e finisher.

Kettle Moraine at Muskego, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday: Muskego needs to avenge an early-season loss to the Lasers to grab a piece of second place in the Classic 8.

Oak Creek at Union Grove, 5 p.m. Wednesday: The Southeast Conference leader visits the third-place team from the Southern Lakes in a post-season primer.

Kaukauna Triangular, 9 a.m. Saturday: Menomonee Falls and Kenosha Bradford make the trip to the Fox Valley to face the state’s top-ranked Division 1 team.
