Raymond A. Jesmok, our most beloved husband, father, friend, and grandparen­t passed away on February 27th, 2022 in Palm Harbor, Florida at the glorious age of 97. Born September 26th, 1924 to Steve and Agnes Jesmok in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the eldest son of ten children. He honorably served his country in WWII as a marine in the 5th battalion at Saipan and Iwo Jima where he fought just down the beach from where the U.S. flag was raised on Mt. Suribachi . After returning from the war, he married the love of his life Joyce Elaine and fathered Jeff, Rick, Barb, and Patricia (Trish). He was also the proud grandpa of Andrew, Gregory, Erik, Anna, and Erik. During his career, he worked for Cutler Hammer (Eaton) and Harley Davidson, primarily as a model maker. He was a Toast Master and Boy Scout troop leader for Troop 67 at Grace Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls. After he retired at age 65, he and Joyce became snowbirds, halving their time between Wisconsin and Florida and traveling to places such as China, Greece, and Italy while enjoying each other’s company.

In his later years, golf was his passion. Three weeks before his passing, as a member of the Highland Lakes Golf Club, he ranked #1 in his group two weeks in a row. He was the: G – reatest O-f L - oving F – athers His memorial service is scheduled on May 27th, 2022 at noon at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (W156 N8131 Pilgrim Road) in Menomonee Falls, WI with a reception to follow at a restaurant close by.
