Jacqueline M. Golos

-

Jacqueline M. (Kaczmarek) Golos passed away quietly at the Elizabeth Residence Assisted Living Facility on May 20, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1934 and grew up on the South Side of Milwaukee, attending St. Stanislaus grade school and South Division high school. She worked for Simmons Mattress Co. before marrying Thaddeus (Ted) Golos, a City of Milwaukee firefighter. Together they raised sons Thaddeus (Ted) and Thomas and daughter Judith, instilling pride in their Polish heritage and devotion to their Catholic faith. She later worked for the Milwaukee Public Schools, and for many years was the secretary at St. Helen’s Parish, now part of St. John Paul II Parish. She survived a grim cancer prognosis in 1979 at age 45 to become a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her faithful devotion to her husband Ted during his long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease was an inspiration to her friends and family. She especially enjoyed baking and cooking for her family, and some of us think her czarnina was the best anywhere. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Helen (Oleniczek) Kaczmarek, her husband Ted and sister Arduine ( the late Thomas) Pucylowski. She is survived by her sister Joan (the late Jerome) Wejrowski, sons Ted (Kathy) and Tom (the late Diane), daughter Judy Daley (Brian), grandchildren (Clarice (Steve), Jessica (Jake), Stefan, Eva, Anne (Michael), Mary and Martha (Chris)) and great-grandchildren (Abby, Trinity, Jocelyn, Thaddeus).

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at St. Helen’s Church, 3329 S. 10th Street, Milwaukee, beginning at 9 AM followed by Catholic Mass of burial at 10:30. Interment will be at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Milwaukee. In accordance with current city guidelines, St. Helen’s Church is requesting that attendees wear a mask for the services.
