Summerfest renews its sponsorship ties with Potawatomi hotel
Potawatomi Hotel & Casino is back as a Summerfest sponsor and is bringing a big game to the Big Gig.
Milwaukee World Festival Inc., which produces Summerfest, announced the new sponsorship deal Tuesday.
The sponsorship includes naming rights of the Potawatomi Founder's Club, which is a premium VIP hospitality area located at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater and overlooks the BMO Harris Pavilion.
In the past, Potawatomi sponsored a stage on the festival grounds.
“This is a partnership that does truly serve as a win-win for both of our organizations,” Dominic Ortiz, CEO and general manager of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, said.
As part of the deal, Potawatomi Hotel is sponsoring fan appreciation day on the final day, July 9. From noon to 3 p.m. all fans will receive free admission and the first 30,000 will also receive a free 2023 free general admission Summerfest ticket.
There is also a chance to win $1 million, with the roll of the dice.
“This year, Summerfest and Potawatomi Hotel & Casino will host the BIG WIN drawing with the chance to win $1 million,” said Sarah Pancheri, president of Milwaukee World Festival Inc. “There's also a guaranteed share of $10,000 as part of this promotion.”
To be a part of the drawing, Summerfest-goers must turn in the perforated entry stub from the 2023 Summerfest ticket in a marked bin inside the Summerfest mid gate between noon and 3 p.m. July 9.
Five people will be part of the BIG WIN drawing. The first person to roll four dice and show the Summerfest smile icon will win the $1 million.
“The contestants that don't win four smiles will receive a consolation prize worth the total value of $10,000 that they'll split across the five winners,” Pancheri said.
Summerfest will be held over three weekends, June 23-25, June 30-July 2 and July 7-9.
