Georgia peach deliveries underway in Milwaukee area

Tree-Ripe Fruit Co. has begun peach deliveries in the Milwaukee area, with additional delivery dates and locations through August.

Stops on Wednesday include one from 10 a.m. to noon at SmallPie, 2504 E. Oklahoma Ave., then one from noon to 1:30 p.m at Circle B Recreation, 6261 Wisconsin 60 Trunk in Cedarburg. Other Wednesday Tree-Ripe stops will be in Slinger from 9 to 10:30 a..m. at the Organic Market, 1040 E. Commerce Blvd.; West Allis Cheese & Sausage Shoppe, 6832 W. Becher St., from 1 to 3 p.m.; and Fleet Farm, 3815 W. Washington St. in West Bend, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The stops offer Georgia peaches, Georgia pecans and New Mexico pistachios, with Michigan blueberrie­s available in July. The prices are: 4 pound bag of Georgia peaches ($10); 1 pound bag of Georgia pecans ($13); 1 pound bag of New Mexico pistachios ($13); and 5 pound case of Michigan blueberrie­s ($21).

This is the company’s 28th consecutiv­e year of bringing Georgia peaches to farmers markets, pop-up events and parking lots, within days of the fruit being picked. Dozens of stops are planned around the Milwaukee area. For the full schedule, visit www.tree-ripe.com/peachstops/

Wisconsin Farm to Table dinner

Tickets are on sale for a Farm to Table dinner Aug. 5 at Mighty Grand Dairy in Union Grove.

The event begins at 5 p.m. with farm tours and a cheese reception with Wisconsin wines and beers, followed by a five-course dinner showcasing Wisconsin cheeses, meats and vegetables. A limited number of tickets will be sold for $150 per plate. Money raised from the annual event is donated to a local nonfor-profit of the host farm’s choosing, and Mighty Grand Dairy has chosen the Kansasvill­e Volunteer Fire Department as its charity recipient for 2022. Deer District Margarita Fest

Milwaukee’s margarita-makers will mix it up on June 26 at the Deer District Beer Garden, 1133 N. King Drive, to earn the “Best Margarita” title.

The public is invited to sample the cocktails and vote for their favorite margarita. Local taco trucks will be parked onsite to provide south of the border eats. The $33 general admission ticket gives entry into either the 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. sampling session, or the 2 to 5 p.m. session. Antinori Wine Dinner

The Aperitivo is hosting a dinner featuring the wines of Marchesi Antinori on June 30 in the Pritzlaff Building, 311 N. Plankinton Ave.

The reception begins at 6 p.m. with crostini and charcuteri­e, the Santa Christina Orvieto white wine, and the ruby red Villa Antinori Rosso. A fourcourse dinner follows at 7 p.m. with fresh salad paired with Vermentino, risotto paired with Peppoli Chianti Classico, and a grass-fed porterhous­e steak paired with Guado al Tasso.
